AA Lock & Key is proud to announce the recent acquisition of Reed Locksmith Service.  Effective December 1, 2011 Reed Locksmith Service has been acquired by AA Lock & Key.  Mr. Reed moved out of state and chose AA Lock & Key as their successor.  AA Lock & Key serves the Atlanta metro area.  We are locakky owned and operated.  When you call or numbers you are speaking directly to a licensed locksmith who can address all your locksmith needs.  Please don't get us confused with a locksmith "Call-In-Center".  They ae better know as "Boiler Rooms"  They operate by taking your call and sub-contracting the jobs.  Don’t be fooled by a “local” phone number.  These SCAMMER’S place Ad’s in all the major Yellow Pages with “local” giving you the allusion they are local.

Do your homework and “Google” the name of the actual locksmith company you are calling.  Find out what others are saying about them.  If they are running a SCAM operation you will soon find out.

Here are some "Red Flags"to look for with the "SCAMMERS" companies:

• They quote very low service charge like $25.00.
• They say someone will be there within 15 to 20 minutes.
• They offer 24-Hour Emergency lock out service.
• They only accept CASH.
• They take out full page ads in the Yellow Pages.
• They have beautiful looking web pages.

If any of these statements are true, then ask some questions.  You want to speak with the actual locksmith that will come to assist you.  You want to know EXACTLY what the TOTAL bill will be.  If quoted a low price make sure that is ALL you will be charged and not a penny more.  The “SCAMMERS” have a lot of money and they love nothing more then to SCAM your hard earned money out of you.

When the locksmith arrives demand to see his license, insurance information and bond.  In the state of Georgia locksmiths don’t have a separate license.  Demand to see his/her business license and driver’s license before they do any work.  If they refuse tell them to leave and don’t pay them anything.  An honest locksmith would gladly show you their documentation when asked.
